Mapping Power and Identity
This project explores the intricate makeup of sectarian identities and political power structures through a layered data-visualization system. By mapping how religious affiliations, political parties, leadership networks, and historical alliances intersect, the work reveals patterns that are often difficult to grasp through text alone. The visualization is designed to turn complexity into clarity—highlighting points of influence, tension, and overlap—while helping viewers understand how social identity and governance continuously shape one another. The goal was not only to present information, but to create an intuitive visual framework that invites exploration and makes a dense, sensitive subject more accessible and comprehensible.
